Move over, Yoplait. Häagen-dazs is crossing the line from delectable desserts to yogurt sensation with a brand-new product line, Cultured Crème.

Häagen-dazs first impacted the world of ice cream sixty years ago when two Polish immigrants from the Bronx decided to create a brand of luxury ice cream. Their timeline started with three simple ice cream flavors and evolved to possess a variety of ice cream bars, ice cream cakes, frozen yogurt, sorbets, and gelatos. Now, they are once again trying something new.

Cultured Crème is the love child of Haagen-Dazs’ indulgent dairy products combined with General Mills’ expertise in breakfast food production. On the release of their new product, the senior manager at General Mills notes, “We are thrilled to introduce a new experience to the yogurt aisle this summer through the luxury of Häagen-Dazs. From the smooth, creamy texture to the delicious, premium flavors, our new Häagen-Dazs Cultured Crème inspires anytime indulgence.” It, therefore, was created to combine the satisfaction of a dessert without the post-consumption guilt. Sounds good so far, right?

This new breakfast line consists of six different flavors, including vanilla bean, strawberry, coffee, lemon, blueberry, and black cherry. Looking at each flavor, consumers will find fresh ingredients, ranging from handpicked fruits to Columbian coffee and bourbon vanilla beans.

They consist of fresh milk and cream blended together with fresh fruit, giving the brand a noticeably smoother, sweeter, less tangy taste than most other yogurts. They also pair well with toppings, including sliced strawberries, raspberries, banana chunks, granola, or chocolate slivers.

With this new line, customers can expect the same thick, creamy texture in their yogurt line as is enjoyed with the Häagen-dazs ice cream selection. Consistent with their style of ice cream production, Häagen-dazs emphasizes patience and longevity when creating their yogurt brand. Cultured Crème obtains its signature texture by undergoing a fermentation process that takes up to five times longer than is used to create traditional yogurt.

What makes Häagen-dazs yogurts even more unique? They are each made with no more than nine simple, all natural ingredients. That means no artificial, colors, preservatives, or flavors. Each 4-oz container has between 190 and 200 calories, 10 and 11 grams of fat, and 19 and 22 grams of carbohydrates along with 4 grams of protein. It can also become part of a gluten free breakfast.

This surely puts a twist on the yogurt game. Cultured Crème is a must buy to get a delicious breakfast even on busy mornings that require a quick get up and go, or for any night owl craving a little midnight snack.

Keep a look out for them in the yogurt aisle, as they hit grocery stores this month (June 2023) with a starting price of $1.99. Due to their association with the beloved ice cream brand and promise of a premium taste, food lovers are already intrigued by this new product.

Thanks for reading this article! If anyone has tried any of the six flavors, please comment to let others know what you think of this product.
