Royal Crispy Wraps are arriving at participating Burger King locations on August 14th. The fast food chain announced the new menu item on Monday at a press release by Business Wire. Wrap prices will vary depending on location.
McDonald’s consumers have been begging the restaurant to bring back their Snack Wrap for years. The restaurant stopped selling the item in 2016. Their reasoning was that assembly was too time consuming and the sales didn’t compete with less healthy menu options.
In 2020, fans created a petition too bring the menu item back that gathered 18,000 signatures. McDonald’s locations in the UK and Canada still sell the Snack Wraps. Despite the outcry, the chain still refuses to sell them in the US.
The arrival of the Royal Crispy Wraps could pose a threat to McDonald’s loyal fanbase. Having been ignored for so many years, customers are already gravitating towards Burger King.

The Burger King wraps will come in three different flavors. The flavors are classic, spicy, and honey mustard. They’ll be made with white meat, tomato, lettuce, tortilla bread, and cheese.

McDonald’s has the most popular menu however their refusal to cater to fans poses a danger to their brand. Wendy’s and KFC also released their own versions of the snack wrap in March and February. With so many options to choose from, does McDonald’s stand a chance against their competitors?
