Subway announced on August 29th that they have built a blimp. The airship will fly over the east coast. This campaign is an effort to market their new deli hero sandwiches.
Subway in the sky
The blimp is a 180 feet long with a restaurant underneath a dining area. This area only seats six people. You can only eat there for thirty minutes due to how little seating there is. The restaurant is aiming to have 4,000 customers a day.
It takes off on September 1st and makes its first stop in Kansas City on the 5th through the 7th. Then it will be in Atlanta the 13th to the 14th. The next stop is Orlando from the 19th through the 20th. It makes it final stop in Miami on the 24th to the 26th.
The chain is also collaborating with the Super Bowl to promote their sandwiches. You can visit subway’s website to play a blimp themed slot game. Each spin has the chance to enter your name into the sweepstakes.

The menu
Subway’s blimp offers four sandwiches to choose from. You will be presented them in sample size for free. All four sandwiches are from the deli hero menu.
Titan Turkey
As the name suggests this sandwich’s main ingredient has turkey. With a double provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, and mayonnaise to finish it off.
Grand Slam Ham
Subway offers a sub with ham, double provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, and mayonnaise. This menu item has 33% more meat then regular subs.
Subway’s The Beast
This sandwich offers pepperoni, salami, turkey, ham, roast beef, double provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, mayonnaise, and MVP vinaigrette. The sub is a full half pound of meat.
Garlic Roast Beef
A collaboration of roast beef, double provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, and roasted garlic aioli make a flavorful sub to satisfy your high flying taste buds.
